Dear Legacy Families,

Protecting the safety and well being of our LEGACY community and the greater community is our number one priority at this time. Everyone here at LEGACY is thinking about those who may have been directly impacted by the coronavirus, in addition to the healthcare workers who are working tirelessly to care for all of us.

Last week we informed you of our proactive suspension of all LEGACY Center Based Operations though tomorrow March 20th. Today we are officially extending our suspension and our Center will be closed until further notice while we do our part to engage in social distancing. However, Program Directors are available to answer any questions you may have. We will continue to monitor the most current medical and governmental guidance available and will keep you informed. During our suspension, our Center has gone through a thorough and deep cleaning and it will be ready for all of you when you return. A special thanks goes out to our Maintenance Team, who have gone above and beyond to keep us healthy and safe.

Additionally, as of March 16 all LEGACY After-School Programs are suspended while the Philadelphia School District is closed. Which means this is a difficult time for many LEGACY families. As a non-profit partner to the City of Philadelphia, we are coordinating with the School District, the City’s Office of Children and Families and Parks & Recreation to get information out on meal service at safe spaces throughout the city.
