Co-Lead, Competitive 1
David Negron referred to as Coach Dav, began playing tennis at the age of 6 in Legacy’s own NJTL program. He quickly identified his love and passion for the game and began to train exclusively at Arthur Ashe Tennis Center. Shortly after, he went on to become a top-ranked junior player in Middle States, earning a tennis scholarship to play tennis for Chestnut Hill College. After competing in college tennis, he returned back to Legacy in hopes of developing other players to reach his/her own maximum potential on and off the court. Over the past 15 years, Coach Dav has submersed himself within the tennis community in organizations such as NJTL (National Junior Tennis League), CTG (Changing The Game), GJL (Goodstein Junior Leaders), JTT (Junior Team Tennis) PATD Gold Cup (Philadelphia Area Tennis District), as well as the Rising Stars program. As a fellow parent to a four-year-old son, he teaches with compassion and understanding of the developmental process of a child. He received his PTR Certification for children ten years and under while also focusing specifically on youth development. Currently, Coach Dav works as the Lead Pro for Competitive I, while also offering private instruction.
