Brian McGhee

Director of Player Development

Brian creates and executes all development plans for the Tournament Training clinic at Legacy.  His focus is on helping players to develop a technically sound foundation while following USTA guidelines, which is an essential building block for each individual to reach his or her potential. Brian trained at Legacy (back when it was Arthur Ashe Youth Tennis and Education) as a junior, prior to being awarded a scholarship to play tennis at Central Connecticut State University.  Following graduation, he was appointed Assistant Head Coach of the tennis team.  To date, Brian has been teaching tennis for over 20 years.  He has held the position of High Performance Director as well as Junior Development Director.  He has also held the position of Zonals coach for the Middle States section since 2009.  Brian is USTA High performance certified; he is also a USPTR certified professional.  Brian also served on the MSTA High Performance committee from 2010 to 2012.
