Standard Group Programming
We offer a range of programming options for schools, community groups and young people of various ages and ability levels including customized weekday, weekend morning, and early afternoon tennis and learning activities. Using tennis as the primary motivational thrust, the programs teach positive, rewarding lessons, while building confidence and providing a framework of personal discipline.
We provide our community groups with:
• Professional tennis instruction
• QuickStart for kids 10 and under
• Tennis equipment including racquets and balls
• Locker room
• Computer lab with internet access
• Educational programming
• Meals and snacks can also be provided for an additional fee for special events
Special Needs Programming
We also offer targeted programming for groups such as those for Asperger syndrome, autism, Down syndrome, the hearing impaired, and other special needs. Using tennis as an incentive, we capture the attention, interest, and potential of the children who take part in the program. The level of the tennis and life skills curricula is tailored to the needs and cognitive abilities, motor and verbal skills of the students. This programming includes instructors who have undergone specific training for working with special needs children. We utilize the
QuickStart format which uses specialized equipment, shorter court dimensions, and modified scoring that is all tailored to a participant’s ability.
Please note that we can also bring our Special Needs programming to your organization
All instruction is offered at our Center at:
4842 Ridge Avenue,
Philadelphia, PA 19129.
